This Allard J2 Chassis no. 1739, was imported to the USA on September 19th, 1951. From the beginning, this Allard has been driven to its full potential by 9 like-minded enthusiasts.

This vintage racer was used by previous owners in events such as; The Mountain House Hill Climb held in Keene, New York in May of 1952, The Giants Despair in July of 1953, and at the Air & Sports Car Show speed trials held at the Niagara Fall Airport. Most recently this J2 received the Award of Distinction at the 2011 Barrington Concours d'Elegance, now known as the Concours d'Elegance of Chicago.

The current owner just finished a full rotisserie restoration. Included in the sale are the well-documented ownership history, roughly $200K in restoration receipts, and even an ad for the car in the November 9th, 1952 issue of the New York Times Classifieds. This race car features a 331ci Cadillac Overhead-Valve V-8, Hillebrandt headers, 3 carburetors, a Weiand high rise intake manifold, Borrani wire wheels, and custom chrome side-pipes. This Allard retains the original Delco distributor, voltage regulator, and 12V alternator.
