Redline Restorations is pleased to offer this stunning 1973 Datsun 510 resto-mod finished in gloss black with graphite accents. All chrome and trim pieces have been refinished in dark charcoal. This example remained with a single owner from 1974 until 2017. Originally a red car, it was painted black in 1974 and again in 2017. The interior features black 240Z vinyl seats, clean black carpeting, and a dashboard free of any cracks!

Still retaining the factory 4-speed transmission, the previous owner installed a Bluebird 1800 SSS motor, electronic ignition, a BRE 510 Spook front air dam, custom metal fender flares, and a custom exhaust with Monza dual tips. The car is fitted with 15” Konig Rewind wheels and wears Mastercraft 195/55R15 tires on all 4 corners. Stopping power is attributed to Akebono front discs, stainless braided lines, and rear drums.

The ventilated moonroof was also added by the previous owner however, the car still retains its A/C, and rare defroster equipped rear glass! The audio system has been upgraded to include an Alpine headunit with bluetooth connectivity, MB Quart speakers, and a Rockford Fosgate subwoofer. Additional features include shaved door handles operated via remote, interior switches fitted into a Datsun 620 center console, or a hidden drivers door switch under the rear bumper.

The current owner acquired this car 3 years ago via Bring a Trailer, and has added less than 1,000 miles. The list of modifications under current ownership is extensive including; Weber DC40E side-draft carbs, a Redline intake manifold, New Tokico rear shocks, a Nardi Mahogany steering wheel, Super Bright LED headlights, and even a strut tower bar.

General service items maintained under current ownership include new spark plugs, filters, gaskets, new fuel tank, new braided stainless steel brake lines, and new copper fuel lines. A new optima battery was relocated in the trunk, while many wiring aspects were neatened up in the engine compartment.
