New to the market is this remarkably low-mileage 1989 Pontiac Turbo Trans Am Pace Car.
Originally introduced as the pace car for the ‘89 Indianapolis 500, this is number 420 of 1,555
collector edition examples produced.
   The 20th-anniversary edition Trans-Am featured unique badging, graphics, and iconic 16”
basketweave wheels. All anniversary edition examples were finished with white exteriors and a
medium beechwood/camel interior, this car wearing the optional leather trim. Our collector grade
example has the original white paint from the factory, is matching numbers, and is just 1,613
miles since new.
   The Turbo cars of this era were an important part of American history. U.S. spec cars were
finally able to put down competitive horsepower ratings while meeting government emissions
standards. The 3.8L Turbocharged V6 was rated at 250 Horsepower but extensive third-party
tests show closer to a 300HP rating. The WS6 high-performance suspension and Corvette style
heavy-duty brakes offer a visceral yet refined and connected driving experience that we have
come to love about classic cars.
   Exceptionally well-documented ownership history is inclusive of the original window sticker, the
original 20th Anniversary ownership letter, a binder of service history, all original manuals, and
