Redline Welcomes OSD Vocational Students

Updated: Apr 24, 2019

Redline Automotive Restorations does all we can to give back to our community. We love making new relationships with all types of charitable organizations, and we take pride in giving to them in any capacity along the way. Recently, Redline Automotive Restorations teamed up with the Bridgeport Board of Education Vocational School, at the Wakeman Boys & Girls Club.  Opportunities for Self Discovery (OSD) is the Official name of the program at Wakeman here in historic Black Rock, Directed by Mr. Sweet. This program provides students attending the vocational school with the opportunity to get real-world experience within the occupations they are aspiring to pursue. Here at Redline, we host two students from Mr. Sweet's program, every Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 11am. Shannon and Andre work under the guidance and supervision of job coach, James.  These students are pursuing their dreams of being custodians. When on the premises of Redline, both students participate in occupational services such as; trash removal, window cleaning, and restroom janitorial duties. While performing these duties, Shannon and Andre are provided all the proper safety equipment including Redline Automotive Restorations signature aprons we presented free of charge to further support them. These promising young adults are hardworking, polite, and eager to please. We constantly strive to help our local communities.
